Rebeka Legović – UniCredit Tower Milano Porta Nuova

Waiting for the official Winners announcement, we are pleased to announce a first winner at the 2020 URBAN Photo Awards.

Rebeka Legović, Italian photographer and journalist, with her photo of the UniCredit Tower in Milan Porta Nuova wins the special prize New Buildings, born from the partnership between URBAN and Matrix4Design and dedicated to the icons of architecture that have changed the face of cities in the last ten years.

The winning photo was selected by Matrix4Design editor Andrea Boni and photographer Federica Nardese. “The artist,” they say about their choice, “has tried her hand at representing an iconic building, symbol of great urban renewal, revealing her ability to find a new point of view, moving away from what has already been seen to propose her personal surrealist vision”.

The New Buildings Award will be on show from 28 September to 10 October 2020, with a collective exhibition at Solferino Lab, the Milan showroom of FIMA, Carlo Frattini, Megius and Scarabeo located in via Solferino 36, Milan.

In addition to the winning photo of Rebeka Legović, the other nine finalist photos will be exhibited.

Rebeka Legović will be awarded together with the other winners of URBAN Photo Awards on Saturday, 24 October 2020, during the Trieste Photo Days festival.
